The head of the Information and Communications Technology Organization of Arak Municipality announced: Upgrade and Standardization of Arak Municipality Data Center (Server Room) In order to improve electronic infrastructure and smarten the electronic city with the aim of responding faster and more accurately to citizens, the Arak Municipality data center, which due to information storage is a very important and sensitive part of the organization, has been standardized and upgraded at a cost of over 100 billion rials. According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Municipality, Abolfazl Asgari said: The Information and Communications Technology Organization has begun operating the first phase of the fiber optic project in line with connecting the municipality's administrative buildings, and currently the connection of the fire stations and District 2 buildings with the central municipality has been established and is operational. He added: The second phase of the municipality's fiber optic project, simultaneously with the home fiber optic project (FTTH) that the Ministry of Communications has started through a contract with Irancell, is currently underway. Asgari noted: In this joint project, fire stations and all monitoring and surveillance cameras across Arak will be connected to the municipality's dedicated fiber optic network so that a higher quality level of services can be provided. The head of the Information and Communications Technology Organization of Arak Municipality said: This year, the complete reconstruction project of the server room, or the municipality's data center, has been implemented in accordance with newer standards and equipped with a fire alarm system; also, 3 units of 11th-generation servers whose network connection is fiber-based have been put into operation and utilized in this center. He noted: Standardizing and raising the quality level of the municipality's server room and data center, at a cost of over 100 billion rials and with the aim of providing better services and increasing the speed and quality of services in Arak Municipality, has been carried out. Asgari concluded by referring to the preparation of the infrastructure for the municipality's facility cameras, stating: Preparing the infrastructure and equipping the multi-purpose monitoring center for municipal facilities is another action of the organization, which has recently been put into operation.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Municipality, Abolfazl Asgari, while announcing the above news, added: The electronic service desk system makes it possible to provide all municipal electronic services through a single portal and with authentication via the government single window to citizens, and through this, time and costs related to citizens and the municipality in providing and obtaining services are saved. He continued, emphasizing that by using this system, citizens can easily and at any time and place benefit from municipal services and meet their needs, saying: This measure plays a significant role in improving the quality of Arak Municipality services to citizens and also plays an important role in facilitating and accelerating urban affairs. It should be noted that with this system, citizens can easily and without the need for in-person visits benefit from municipal services. The head of the ICT Organization of Arak Municipality stated that the electronic service desk will be launched in the municipality very soon, and added: the provision of electronic services and internal and external organizational processes on the PWA platform (capable of running on all computers and mobile devices with various operating systems such as Windows, Android, and iOS), the ability to connect to the Iran Man system (the national Iranian user portal) for civil registry inquiries and matching mobile phone numbers and national ID numbers (Shahkar Telecommunications), are among the achievements and features of this system. He explained other features and capabilities of the electronic service desk of Arak Municipality, saying: in this system, integrated service management with the ability to intelligently monitor services and alert outages via SMS or email, as well as traffic control between services, is possible. Asgari stated: providing management dashboards for various reports such as real-time and periodic reports with different time ranges for the amount of revenue of each district or organization by revenue codes, the amount of expenses of each district by expense codes, the percentage of progress of construction projects and critical points of each project, the number of citizen visits and requests by type and district, average response time to requests, the number of passengers using public transportation fleets and route length, and other management reports that will greatly help decision-making by the managers of the organization, is another important capability of this system. The head of the Information and Communications Technology Organization of Arak Municipality, stating that the electronic service desk system also has the ability to create forms and processes for requesting new services, noted: using the electronic service desk as an innovative technology plays an important role in urban development and improving services, and enables citizens to access various municipal services. He concluded by emphasizing: this system provides all urban planning services to citizens through an electronic interface, which leads to reduced administrative burden and increased citizen satisfaction in service delivery.

The Information and Communications Technology Organization of Arak Municipality has launched and trained the maintenance and repair module in the Freight and Passenger Transport Management Organization. According to the Municipality’s Department of Communications and International Affairs, Abolfazl Asgari said in this regard: Since Arak Municipality is recognized as one of the key and influential institutions in the management and development of urban infrastructure, this organization has a diverse and extensive set of machinery and equipment in various fields such as public transportation and road construction. He added: The large volume of this equipment, which includes various types of heavy machinery, public vehicles, and construction equipment, greatly increases the need for their timely maintenance and repair. Therefore, in line with improving productivity and the quality of public services, as well as enhancing safety in municipal operations, the launch of maintenance and repair management software (CMMS) is recognized as a vital tool for optimizing the maintenance and repair processes of Arak Municipality’s transportation and road construction machinery. Asgari added: This software helps managers and technicians effectively and systematically plan, monitor, and track the status of equipment and machinery, and by collecting accurate data and analyzing equipment performance, it enables the identification of problems before serious breakdowns occur. This not only reduces costs and unplanned downtime, but also increases the organization’s overall productivity. The head of Arak Municipality’s Information and Communications Technology Organization said in conclusion: Using the module enables Arak Municipality to manage its resources with greater accuracy and take steps toward improving the level of services provided to citizens.
