According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, after several years of interruption, with the persistent follow-up of the Association of Iranian Metropolises and the support of Dr. Mohammadi, the association's secretary-general, sports competitions for municipality employees and provincial centers have once again been placed on the agenda so that the spirit of enthusiasm, solidarity, and organizational dynamism among the employees of the country's municipalities can be revived. In this regard, a specialized meeting of the Municipality Employees' Sports and Health Committee was held with the حضور of the secretary-general of the Association of Iranian Metropolises, Dr. Ehsani, head of the Cultural and Social Organization of Mashhad Municipality, and a group of managers from the sports and health sectors of the metropolises. In this meeting, while reviewing ways to expand sports among municipality employees, topics including the design and implementation of an employee sports olympiad, the development of sports infrastructure in municipalities, and increased interactions among provincial centers were discussed and exchanged. Dr. Mohammadi, in this session, emphasizing the importance of bringing back sports activities in work environments, considered this move an effective step in improving employees' physical and mental health and increasing organizational productivity. In the end, the committee members approved the implementation framework of the "Municipalities Champions Competitions" and decided that the preparation and execution stages of these competitions would begin in early Dey of the current year, and specialized working groups would be formed to hold this national event. This decision is a sign of the serious return of sports culture to the body of the country's urban management and a step toward creating an active and empathetic network of municipality employees across Iran.
