According to the Communications and International Affairs Department of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, in line with improving waste management and enhancing public health as well as the city’s visual appearance and urban landscape, the renovation, modernization, and safety reinforcement of waste container stations (underground bins) across the city is underway. In this plan, after assessing the condition of all underground bins in different parts of the city, new and standard underground bins were installed in locations that lacked suitable stations, and in places where the underground bins had deteriorated or had technical defects, complete repair and restoration operations were carried out. The aim of these measures is to prevent leachate leakage, maintain the cleanliness of the area around the bins, and also observe environmental safety and health principles to prevent the accumulation of pests and the spread of pollution.
