Opening of Local Fruit and Vegetable Markets
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Municipality, local fruit and vegetable markets have been established within the scope of the Arak Municipality Job Organization to provide better services to citizens and decentralize fruit and vegetable distribution centers in the city center, at the Ghadir 1 Pardis 2 and Ghadir 2 Jahangiri branches, with an area of 360 square meters, including a main hall and dedicated parking, and will be inaugurated in the coming days. It is worth noting that the distribution of fruit and vegetables, meat and chicken, essential goods, and basic necessities will be among the main sections of these local markets.

Opening of fruit and vegetable markets in Arak
Abbas Khosravani, referring to the single-core structure of the city of Arak and the concentration of fruit and vegetable shopping centers in the city center, stated: The concentration of fruit and vegetable shopping centers in the city center has caused problems including heavy traffic, wasted citizens' time, and additional pressure on urban infrastructure. He continued: The development of local markets, with municipal planning, the support of the City Council, and the allocation of necessary funds, was put on the agenda so that dependence on the city core would be reduced. The spokesperson for the Islamic Council of the metropolis of Arak said: Four markets will be opened by the end of Ordibehesht, and the construction of several others is also on the agenda. Khosravani, emphasizing the importance of equitable access to urban services, added: The successful experience of cities such as Mashhad, Isfahan, and Tehran has shown that establishing fruit markets in neighborhoods, alongside facilitating residents' access to needed items, has led to a reduction in intra-city trips and the strengthening of the local economy.

Training for fruit vendors in the city center
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Municipality, the task force for organizing fruit vendors in the city center was held with the presence of task force members and the owners and holders of fruit-selling business licenses in the historical fabric district. In this task force, the existing issues and problems, as well as the duties and authorities of the task force member organizations and, correspondingly, the duties of the business units, were reviewed. It should be noted that organizing and supporting a better supply of fruit in this market and preventing certain trade violations, which are beneath the dignity of shopkeepers and the public, by a small number of workers who cause harm to the services of the hardworking fruit vendor community, is among the emphasized priorities of Arak Municipality.
